The appliances described here are not AIMdefense appliances.
This chapter comes from the documentation of the underlying platform and describes its vendor’s appliances, for example the DEC and A series. AIMdefense ships on its own hardware, among others the FW 600, the FW 2500 and the FW 3000.
The general sections, for instance on serial console access and SFP module compatibility, are useful for AIMdefense as well. Model-specific information, in particular factory configurations, does not apply to your AIMdefense.
